Intro Blog

My name is Tyler Barry. This summer I will be working as a Community Development Officer. I have been a part of Beat The Streets Toronto for 6 years. I first became a part of Beat The Streets Toronto when I came to a wrestling practice after hearing about it from one of my teammates so I started going to every one of the practices. I always enjoyed these practices as they helped me improve my wrestling but also helped me make connections and grow confidence that I did not have before wrestling. I am excited about my role as a Community Development Officer. Last year I worked for Beat The Streets Toronto as a Social Media Community Manager. It was a great experience for me as I learned a lot of new skills and I look forward to learning more skills with this opportunity as a Community Development Officer.
