Resilient Together – A Thank You to the Ontario Trillium Foundation
As we have wrapped up our Resilient Communities Fund grant, we want to take a moment to thank the Ontario Trillium Foundation and the Government of Ontario for their incredible support over the past year.
With their help, Beat the Streets has taken huge strides in strengthening our internal systems and building a more resilient organization so we can continue supporting low-income youth across the GTA for years to come.
Here’s what we accomplished with this funding:
Developed a comprehensive Social Enterprise Feasibility Report, laying the groundwork for a BTS Coaching Certification Model that aligns with our mission and can generate revenue to sustain our programs.
Worked with a governance consultant to create a detailed Board Governance and Capacity Building Handbook, giving us the tools to improve recruitment, orientation, evaluation, and succession planning.
Designed and implemented our first-ever Operational Plan, providing a clear roadmap to achieve our strategic goals.
Recruited a social media consultant and launched a strategy that increased our digital engagement by 15%.
Created a Collaboration Toolkit to guide partnerships.
This grant wasn’t about flashy launches or big events. It was about doing the deep, sometimes invisible, work that strengthens organizations. And thanks to this investment, we’re more aligned, prepared, and inspired than ever to keep pushing forward.
Thank you, OTF.
