Why BTS?

Beat The Streets is a charity that I wish I had access to as a young kid. Through our content, I hope I can reach those kids like me to provide resources and support for the youth who feel lost and unsupported in this realm.

About Me

When I was younger my only resource for education on health and fitness was the internet and it has taken me years of trial and error (I am still learning) to filter through and navigate this space. It’s not easy to do on your own when you’re young and impressionable. I ended up going down the wrong path and I struggled with an eating disorder for years. Looking back, I wish I had access to programs like Beat The Streets (BTS) to help guide me. BTS enables the youth to learn to navigate their own health and to take control of their livelihoods with confidence. I believe in the work of this charity and with my time here I hope to help lead youth down the right path. I am so excited to be working with my wonderful partner Laila and the rest of the summer team!
