Get to know Hafsa

Hello, my name is Hafsa Abbasi 

A little about me is that I love art. My hobbies are creativity based so I like crocheting and knitting. I like to knit in my free time more than I draw since I like drawing finished pieces which require a lot of thinking. I want to become a graphic designer in the future and maybe do a side business selling my art. I like to do digital illustrations and paintings. I am currently a grade 11 student at Stephen lewis secondary and doing Co-op at Beat The Streets. I really think this organization will help me improve my skills since I’m working as a marketing and communications officer. Marketing is connected to graphic design so this is a great opportunity. 

I am working towards getting into either Waterloo or OCAD University because of their business, design, and graphic design programs. I’m hoping that I can build the skills needed to get into either of those programs here and use the knowledge I learn at Beat The Streets to further them in the future.
