Beat the Streets (BTS) is a charitable organization dedicated to fostering the growth and development of youth in the Greater Toronto Area. Through diverse sports and learning programs, BTS encourages the resilience, confidence, and active lifestyle of the city's young populationIn addition, our organization aims to enhance the education of children and youth by offering engaging activities that nurture social-emotional skills, physical literacy, and employability skills. Social Media Community Manager x2

Description:
We are seeking a Social Media Community Manager to join our team and drive engagement and growth across our online platforms. As the Social Media Community Manager, you will be responsible for engaging with online commentators, managing the social media calendar, creating and organizing content from guest writers and staff, and maintaining a database of testimonials. Collaboration with other teams to create daily content while implementing campaigns, monitoring insights, and producing video content will be key aspects of this role.
Responsibilities & tasks:
Create and maintain a database of testimonials from previous participants
Manage the social media calendar and schedule posts
Design infographics to enhance visual communication while monitoring the insights and preparing weekly reports
Support the execution of the communications strategy through research
Develop and deliver a workshop on social media best practices and guidelines
Utilize online software to design and produce content such as images, videos, and promos
Coordinate all social media campaigns and collaborate with other teams for successful launches
Manage blogs and all social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, website, Twitter)
Work with other teams on campaigns, events, and activities
General administrative tasks (writing, copy-editing, reports, timekeeping, data entry, desktop publishing)
Use of Toggl, Slack, Canva, Google Docs, Sheets, Forms and Slides, Squarespace, Buffer, Grammarly, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter & Mailchimp to complete activities
Post Secondary Research Assistant
Job length: 8 weeks (July 03 to Aug 25, 2023)

Description:
We are recruiting a Research Assistant (RA) to join our team and support our research efforts in various areas. In this position, you will be responsible for administering surveys, collecting data, analyzing results, producing reports, and providing research support to all teams. Additionally, the assistant will coordinate evaluation processes, create visual presentations, produce social media content, support fundraising activities, and lead in coordinating campaigns and newsletters.
Responsibilities:
Develop, administer, and collect surveys from participants in summer programs
Conduct research and analysis to support program curriculum and workshop development
Conduct research and analysis to support new programs and partnerships
Prepare needs assessments and environmental impact assessments
Support policy development
Create presentational charts and infographics for reports
Work with other teams on campaigns, events, and activities
Support fundraising activities with research and statistics
Coordinate campaigns with the social media team to promote evaluation results
Collect quantitative data from summer programs and Wrestle 4 Fun while developing BTS surveys and evaluation tools
Create an outline, assign articles, collect content, and work with the social media team for design and graphics

Financing/Fundraising Officer
Job length: 8 weeks (July 03 to Aug 25, 2023)
Working hours: 30 hours/week

Description:
BTS is looking for a Finance/Fundraising Officer (FO) who will play a crucial role in supporting the financial sustainability and growth of the organization. The FO will collaborate closely with the Deputy Director and other teams to implement fundraising strategies, manage fundraising activities, and engage with potential funders. Leadership responsibilities include coordinating online fundraising events and overseeing online fundraising campaign development. In addition, you will maintain effective communication with donors through grant proposals, and social media posts and manage donor recognition efforts.
Responsibilities:
Outreaching to potential funders through emails and letters of inquiry
Follow up with funders and support fundraising strategy implementation
Collaborate with other team members on campaigns, events, and activities
Conduct research and analysis on grants and funding trends
Create social media content for donor recognition and appreciation
Maintain fundraising schedule and prepare weekly status reports
Identify and apply for online sponsorship opportunities
Update donor database
Develop and deliver grant writing workshops
Manage reports using the Micharity fundraising system
Work with other teams on campaigns, events, and activities
General administrative tasks (writing, copy-editing, reports, timekeeping, data entry, desktop publishing)
