Media advisory: Ontario Trillium Foundation and Government of Ontario grant helps BTS sustain operations
$49,600 Ontario Trillium Foundation grant helps youth development charity sustain operations and expand services for low-income children
Mississauga - In 2021, Beat the Streets (BTS) received a $49,600 Community Building Fund grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation to help sustain operations. The organizational activities were completed in May 2022 and will help BTS continue providing unique and fun sports-based development programs for years to come.
The grant provided BTS with the funds to execute strategic, fundraising and communication plans as well as develop and launch volunteer and donor programs. Thanks to the $49,600 funding, BTS has had the opportunity and resources to focus on organizational activities that strengthen our capacity and to launch our student volunteer program.

Beat the Streets is a youth development charity whose mission is to advance the education of low-income children and youth in the Greater Toronto Area through fun and unique sports and employment-based development programs. BTS teaches physical, social-emotional and employability skills so youth can realize their full potential.
