Wrestle 4 Fun comes to BGC Albion Club
We are excited to share that BTS is working with the BGC Albion Club to bring Wrestle 4 Fun classes to the Rexdale & Jamestown neighbourhoods. Over two weeks, we will serve 60 children aged 5-12 with a unique fitness program led by wrestlers.
Wrestle 4 Fun aims to improve physical literacy and confidence in children, laying the foundation for an active and healthy lifestyle, all in a fun and inclusive environment. This fantastic opportunity was made possible through the Nike Community Impact Fund and a chance meeting at their Grantee Celebration between our founder, John Park, and the dedicated team at BGC Albion Club.
A heartfelt thank you:
We want to thank our two volunteer wrestling coaches from Team Xtreme, Arely Torales & George Martinez, for bringing high energy and fun to the classes. Special thanks to Bernard Sanchez of West Humber Collegiate Institute for his valuable contribution. BTS is also grateful to Chelsea Davenport & Priyanka Sharma from Albion Boys & Girls Club for making this happen. And, of course, the biggest thank you goes to all the children who have embraced Wrestle 4 Fun enthusiastically, giving Beat the Streets and the sport of wrestling a chance this summer!
