BTST Summer Newsletter 2020 / Special Student Edition
What can we say? It’s hard to see them go!
It’s a sad time for our team as our summer jobs programme is over for another year. But wow, what a summer it has been! The students literally took this programme on during COVID-19 and had a baptism of fire into the world of remote-working and came out with a whole new set of skills to help them in their next chapter. It was a pleasure to work with them and while it wasn’t 100% smooth sailing all the time (definitely smooth sailing at least 85% of the time), that’s what makes it all the more challenging, interesting and worth it!
To mark the end of this exceptional year, we decided to create a Student Edition newsletter. Our Summer team coordinated and wrote the newsletter and contributed insightful and poignant musings on their summer job experiences, living during a time of COVID-19 and advice for first-year university or college students.
